Selling this absolute GEM of a Freeborn Red 1977 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 project! I know, I know, Skreddy; you crazy for letting this perfectly patina’d Offroad monster go, and at just $7500, only a mere fraction of its current real world value!
Salesmanship aside, I bought this cruiser from Montana a few months ago with the intent to get safe and roadworthy, then sell. Well, we are selling our house and not sure where I’ll end up at the moment so putting this for sale as is now so I don’t have to store it somewhere.
It’s a 77, USA spec, believed original paint. It has some rust but isn’t rotten. Has some dents but those are character badges right?….. It’s a 2F and 4 speed but the engine needs rebuilt. I have a good crank and new oil pump to go with it. Also have a spare 2F I’d consider letting go with it. The engine is out of it currently. It appears to be very complete but needs work. I have a clear Washington state title in my name, in my possession.
So, asking $7500, open to offers but I don’t have to sell it. 77, red, fixable rust (rear sill and quarter to wheelwells and front fenders), needs engine rebuilt or drop a different one in. Front and rear mats are there, dash isn’t cut up, all parts seem to be there. In Stanwood, WA (1 hour north of Seattle).

I saw your CL post yesterday! Sad that you have to sell it, but GLWS.
Ya I was looking forward to getting this one on the road. The guy that gave me a deposit is an older retired guy, restores them as a hobby. Has done a few pretty nice ones so looks like it’ll be getting a good home. Though I’d have kept it as is.
