Upgraded the nav/head unit. The 200s nav was so bad that I never really used it. I just used my phone for nav. I was going to add a ram mount for an iPad but I decided to go this route. The unit is essentially a 16” android tablet. Lots of settings to figure out but just getting Google maps on a 16” screen is a major upgrade. Onx and Gaia will be awesome.

Had to figure out a broken Key Cylinder Rod situation:

Rob with the win on the race to Pick-N-Pull, beat me by a few minutes!

Let me know when it’s for sale again, I should have offered $3000, let you make a quick $300 😂

Wanted to share this thread. I just ripped the speakers out and put them in several of my toys, so will test how they work.

Interesting. Removing the speaker solves the primary problem of a potential thief being able to ping the airtag and easily find it. They’ll still be alerted that one exists, but maybe that’s also a deterrent.

The other option I’m considering is a used cellular Apple Watch. Can find them on eBay for $100-$150, and you can add them to most cell plans for $10/mo. Costs more than an AirTag, but won’t alert a thief and you don’t have to mess with tearing out speakers.

may have found the reason the AC in the 45 wouldn't hold a charge. Changed 2 o-rings last night, pulled a vacuum, let it sit overnight with the gauges. Still had vacuum this morning. Going to toss a new dryer on for safety sake. (old dryer doesn't have a window)
This is the primary reason you add UV dye to the system, so you can find where it is leaking.. One other issue i had was the High side Schrader valve was leaking.
FYI. standard tire core removal tools will NOT fit deep enough into an R134 fitting to unscrew the valve. I was able to use my new Mastercool core removal tool with great success.

Cleaned up the dash and working on ham instal. Lots of wires. Thanks to Jess for the assist in don't use the illumination feed on the switch. I was having weird issues, apparently the ch4x4 switches have problems with their illumination on some switches.

Jess and I got two of the pigs running...

120k mile service on the 200. Removed all 4 skid plates to change oil, filter and "lifetime" transmission oil. Every bolt got a dab of anti-seize on the way back in and all hidden surfaces got a spritz of Fluid Film.

Covered the chrome grille and rear hatch trim chrome with Hydra-Dip in Anthracite Grey, because I hate the chrome on this rig.

Painted all 4 catalytic converters with high temp paint and then engraved my VIN on them. Hopefully that's a deterrent to the crackheads who like to cut them out.

Pulled old body, swapped some stuff around, installed new body.

Installed 7" LED headlights on the 100. Had to delete the DRL function by removing the ignition line to the daytime running relay, apparently LEDs don´t like being placed in series with one of 'm in reverse polarity. New side markers are still somewhere in shipping. The trucklite LEDs provide a nice beam pattern :)
