Finally got around to replacing the rear axle with one that was rebuilt and painted a couple years ago. Thanks to @2fpower for the help.

For those of you not following my build thread which I had moved over to the 45 forum, here's a pic of a nice milestone I have a rolling frame.
That's pretty trick running your exhaust to the rear end. I take it the exhaust then escapes through the wheels. 😁

Just before the door slams down on 2021…
Rob and I slipped the 5.3L LS and H55F/split case combo into the Vegas 40.

Happy Ney Year, I cut up a perfectly decent roof to clear wipers. Mike recommended rainx and call it done. Would have saved a lot of time and effort.

Good news, temp stayed in the correct range. Bad news, still had a leak, good news, found the leak, bad news., found what caused the leak, (wrong thread pitch and broken sensor due to it bottoming out in the hole) good news, new sensor ordered.
Bad news.. Couldn't get speedometer to register, tried at least 3 times.. Good news, Ordered the GPS speedometer option for the Dakota Digital..

Took apart the HVAC blower to fix the broken damper. Idiots at the dealership or jiffy lube break them by opening the fresh air damper manually instead of using the switch.

Went from not having a clue about carburetors to gaining a pretty intimate knowledge in 48 hours. Stuck accelerator pump, stuck power piston, and a secondary actuator with a bad diaphragm. This baby runs like a champ now!

Damn. Need to drop one off for them. Turbo Phil’s 6bt rig is getting a 6L80. Using 100 series case so rear shaft is good with everything being shifted back but the front has to be lengthened

What an amazing change having a nice balanced driveshaft! Got it up to about 25, and smooth as glass.

Well I was out of the game for 8 days. I was threaten by @kc_chevota and other members that I would be expelled from the club and was told that my wife’s 4Runner did not count. So I found this 2013 91k on the clock. Already came with wheels and tires. Best riding vehicle I have ever owned.

Weve been steady tinkering on little things and it goes to the shop to get is new engine this week. It's all hooked up ready to delivery. Weve got the bumper, winch, & ARB lift kit for when the engine work is done. The 9th grader scored come quality used tires and prepped/painted/cleared the factory wheels. Shooting to have it back on the road before school starts so he can mosh in the HS parking lot.
