Many thanks to you, @thatcabledude, @cruisermatt , @White Stripe @cruiserdan and many others for support from afar....

CRAZY how much power this thing has.

Scary power. Reminds me of a post that @Gumby made years ago where he put a larger engine in a 40, and remarked how much power there was with the flick of the pedal.....

Glad I don't have teenagers in the house wanting to borrow the car...

Heck yeah man. I’ve missed some updates. Glad it’s on the road!

I put a built 6.0 lq9 in a swb 45. It was way too much. I put a stock 5.3 lm7 in it amd made it way more usable. The 6.0 is going in a 66 continental.

Cool build thread

That's a beautiful truck. Really great the way your bumpers and sliders are protective and blend with the truck but not overly large................What springs are you running? I ask because your shackles are almost vertical like the springs are short/not compressed much. I'm running OME 2" medium springs and mine are more compressed/longer or maybe they've sagged significantly in 2 years.

Thanks for the kind words. That is a 2" ironman lift. It was just too cheap, so I could not pass it up. I don't like the shackle position currently, that is why I added the anti-inversion in the rear. I am hoping she settles with the addition of the bumpers and I just put the winch in yesterday. Rear is going to have slide out drawers, so that will add a chunk of weight as well.... Anyway, once we get to Inigo to his fighting weight, (and we are ready to storm the castle) we will see if I need to pull some leafs out.

@tornadoalleycruiser came over on Saturday and we got all of the air conditioner hoses figured out. Had to order some parts so to be continued…. In the meantime I did a few things.. New Hella horns. Added the updated gauge display in MPH, thanks @FJ73Texas ….and I installed a new lens for the gauges that made a huge difference.

Lots and lots of wiring. Got all the wires completed for the trinary switch for the air conditioning, install the cruise control wires, and rounded out the weekend with the radio and reverse camera. I bought the double dim face plate but forgot to buy the brackets to install the double din. Ordered them today

With the motor you have. You need the 200mph version.

Can't wait for a test drive to discourage me from a 6.0. Ac coming soon!

I am in wiring hell...

trying to knock out several things while dash is apart....

1. for some crazy reason, there is no easy reverse light driver for the 6l80/90 transmission. PSI says you should get that from your shifter, and the shifter I have does not have that ability. my plan is to add a microswitch on the side of the shifter to turn them on, unless there are better ideas...

2. fog lights... these have never worked on the car, but I was going to use the wiring to drive my new fog lights. The wires from the lights go up to a relay by the fusebox, that I have not been able to trace that wire back. Need to find wiring diagram on it.

here is the relay.

here is the switch. Ground is constant. Red with black is hot when headlights are on. The other two are hot when the park lights are on.

3. additional switch on dash. looks like it is wiring through factory harness, but clearly not a toyota switch. scratching my head on that one. I will need that slot for lights someday.... so may leave it for now.

Trying to understand the fog light system... and I think I just hit my limit. I was going to try and adapt what is there, but this is too complex. Not sure if this is the same wiring I have, but clearly time for me to cut and make what I want. I want to be able to turn the front fog's on anytime I want.

reverse wiring diagram.. I need to go out to the tranny, connect the two wires that typically are the switch, then will cut the line going to the rear lights and add a relay in line that will be driven by the microswitch.
