Since the OEM tubing isn't available, what is the prevailing opinion about the advantages/disadvantages of copper/nickel vs. stainless steel?

I like stainless for the lack of contamination aspect, but since brake fluid likes to absorb water, it needs to be changed yearly anyway, so I'm not sure the copper contamination problem is really a problem as much as an aspect of the material use.

The copper/nickel bends so much easier than stainless, but the same flare tools work on either, and those are the spendy bits, so is there really a price difference?

I've had trouble getting good consistent double flares using stainless. The co/ni works fine and is a lot less frustrating to flare, bend, straighten, etc.

I will be using the copper/nickel approach on Project WTF (Wisdom Turns Folly). She is a rusty meatball.

I ran ni/cop on the frame and tub, and steel along the axles. Nicop bends and flares nice, but it's too easy to crush if it comes in contact with trail obstacles.
