E85 just rules. I think there is an additional benefit to running ethanol at higher elevations. Perhaps the greater expansion ratio of the fuel or something but E85 makes a huge difference when I go up in elevation. Definitely a bigger difference than running it at sea level or even 5000ft.

Towing my 80-series back from Moab:

$2 difference between E85 and 91 Premium per gallon. $1.40 between E85 and Regular. Please keep spreading E85 rumors so nobody else uses it and it stays cheap 😂

Road tripping like it's 2019.

Pulled my intake manifold for some fun time and check out my ports. This truck had 200k on it before I got it on gasoline then I ran the last 80k on mostly E85. Self cleaning action of E85. In another 80k it will probably be almost clear. Pistons should also be cleaning up.

Thanks so much for this thread, thinking about E85 for my 99 LX470 and my 05 9-2x (another forum) and this has been very helpful!

Don't know where I "bashed" the OP in this thread, one post asking peeps to keep it to tech. I did remove a comment I'd never noticed and that had never been reported in an early post about selling kits,. Anyway, back to tech, thanks.

80,000 miles since I installed this kit. None of the prophecies of doom have occurred.
Good to hear! Prior to doing the SC kit, what would you say your "felt power increase" was with the E85 kit?

I didn't note this, but for those of us that are non VVTi, does this kit have variances?

Thanks for being the lead on looking into this stuff.

It's not a huge power increase but about the same as going from regular gas to premium.

You can see my 0-60 times with different mods in this post: e85 Flex Fuel Conversion on 2007 LX470 - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/e85-flex-fuel-conversion-on-2007-lx470.1088460/post-13038293
