Right,

91 HDJ-80 with dual batteries, you know the 24 V start, then revert to 12 V when running. I'd like to fit an auxiallary power source to run a compressor and the like with the engine running or not. Can this be done, and can the auxiallary power source (assuming its another battery), be maintained via the alternator, or? Alternator has been rewired to 150 Ah.

Cheers for now.

You can just use the battery on the right hand side of the engine bay. If you want to isolate there are all kinds of other options.

This is identical to adding a dual battery setup in a standard FJ80, except for us it's a third battery. TONS of threads on this including adding third batteries to our rigs, search is your friend.
