Builds 1965 Seminole Red FJ45 SWB (3 Viewers)

Since I can never bring back the patina there was something that could be done. I gave a little hint before with the body colored mirrors


While I was away the paint master got busy and put the cherry on top of this SWB masterpiece

The cherry was a Seminole colored top as well as a Seminole painted bed.

One of my favorite photos of this truck was taken on the Pacific Ocean.

There was something about this photo that I kept coming back to that needed to happen

Not that we were going for “period correct” but it just seemed like the right move.

The tinted bed liner had already started to fade to pink and even though now it still looks a bit different it’s a lot closer and the paint over liner will stay the same color and no more fade will happen.

@ClemsonCruiser had a gorgeous period correct 1965 SWB for sale in the Fall of 2019. I wanted that truck bad but did not care for the original engine or 3-speed so I ultimately passed. That truck and this truck crossed paths at JP’s and I ended up with a few pics. I was definitely going with the red top no matter what.

So I don’t have any real experience with these old wiper motors. Can I reverse the polarity on the drivers side motor to make it park to the passenger side? This one wants to sweep driver when you kill the ignition.

What I think is that there are Left and Right handed motors . I don’t know about reversing the polarity, never had a need to try it.

I hammered out a very satisfying punch list today

When I cut out all the stereo stuff I disabled the seat heaters. I got them working again

When the paint guy pulled the roof he shorted out the light strip up in the roof. I finally isolated it and got it going.

I also figured out the reverse LEDs as well

Last I put a fuel pressure regulator in line. These things are really key to troubleshooting especially if someone calls with issues.

I put these on all of them now
