For Sale 1979 + Rear half tub (1 Viewer)

This half tub fits 1979 and newer fj40. from b pillar back. Bought, mounted and removed. Has side marker light holes and reverse light cutouts. Bought new from Land Cruiser Heaven out of Miami. Asking $1750 Will work on pics... (Stored at a friend's warehouse)

At the time.... Landcruiser Heaven had just started building tubs.... They (And I) didn't realize the older then 1979 tubs were different dimension. I had a 71. I sent them the measurements for my '71, they built me one that fit perfectly... I ended up keeping the 79+ It had been spot welded to front half of tub, and the spot welds were drilled out.

I'm pretty sure that's not a 79+ but an earlier version. My 79 bed floor looks nothing like that, and is all one level.

79+ should also have rounded corners where the quarters and sill come together.

Also, 79+ has no reverse light cut outs. Reverse lights are in the taillights in the frame crossmember.

It might fit a '79 + but it isn't the right tub for a '79+ based on the mods the LC Hoven did to it.

You'd probably get more for it from the scrap yard.

This tub fit perfectly, quality welds and reinforcements. Everything matched up with THE OEM tub it replaced. AGAIN… I cut the clearance light holes into the tub thinking it would fit my 71.
