Los Altos? I did a lot of work in the hills when I lived up there. You in the Bay Area?

Hey this worked, Now I can open gate and leave window in. That window will be one of the last things I will do to fix, ( I really don’t like that design } I have thought about making that window open from the outside just like fj40 could be done with a rear window and hinges from fj40. Just a thought

That looks amazing.

I hate the OEM back tailgate setup with a passion.
I actually like it better than all my other configurations. What other Land Cruiser allows you to have an open tailgate for hauling things without having to tie down (or tie shut - eg. barn door) the top half of the tailgate (except a pickup)? Roll down the window, drop the tailgate, and you're wide open.

What I hate is when it doesn't work.

Me to, thought about using the back door and hinges off a fj40 could be welded in. .Cut the 40 window add sheet metal ( need two back windows). Should close right up to back sheet metal on 55 maybe. Just a thought never happen no time for that

Nice wheels
