Rims LC J7
Forgotten:
The tubes in these 5 hole J7 split rims don`t fit in the the 6 hole J4 rims.
You need other tubes too.

Just found here .
Never made a pic of my dash.....
On the left dash side hidden behind the steering wheel was a switch to start the BJ43 without any smoke.
The BJ43 engines start when cold like an old steam engine .... horrible.
Price 4 the little not Toyota switch ..... low.
You pull the switch , count until twenty, start the engine with the key and drive about a minute and press the switch in.
All the goodies are gone.

The leather (the second in 34 years the first was brown) around the steering wheel is great when you use these trucks intensive.
Stiched together from two .

...now stored in my private BJ43/79-2014 pic collection :)
and in #81 .... the 45 &43 diary.

Dunlop SP Qualifier was never a stock tire for J4. There are many 7.50R16 non OEM tires, but I search for the stock one for J4 Land Cruiser.

I have the new stock J4 rims

It looks like new Firestone / Bridgestone Jeep Service will fit the originality requirement

When I bought the Red 45 Can in Nov.2006 the Can was equipped with Michelin diagonal tyres .
Terrible to drive !!! ....bought new radial tyres in 2007
Pic Nov.2006

Michelin developed the first radial tyres in 1946.
The Citroen 2CV was the first car 1948 with the radial tyres..... modern times in France since 1948
.

Zum Abschluss noch der Landwirt :)

I absolutely love your rig. I'm so excited that you found an OEM soft top to put on it. If there was anyone on here who deserved to find a treasure like this it's you. I'm so glad this rig is in your hands and not just a museum (not that Land Cruisers in a museum is a bad thing). But just cool to see it being stewarded by someone who also drives it!

What a beauty !! Congrats !

What an awesome beauty!
Sprachloss/speechless!

PS. May I ask you how old are your Dunlop/RTM tyres?
You mentioned that production in S. Africa, unfortunately, ceased a few years ago... ☹️
