Stripped a few layers of paint off the center caps to give them a nice paint restoration. This stuff is about all I could find any reviews on that said it won’t eat up plastic. Worked perfectly. There are some reviews on YT of folks using it on ATV plastics. Hard to find. My local NAPA is the only place that has it.

If you don't have a paint chosen I have found that Duplicolor "silver" wheel paint is a really close match to the original color.

Thanks. I have not picked one yet and nice to meet you at the LCHM a couple Saturdays ago. ;)

I might be wrong but there's an easier way to change the oil filter during an oil change. :)

Have you seen this guy’s work before? He is THOROUGH. ;)

Will this work on the wheel itself? Want to step paint and go back to stock silver

Hmmmm…doubtful. Will likely require something more powerful / deadly. :) Unless you are referring to removing paint that you have added on top of the factory finish then yes.

The original wheel is a natural finish with a clear coat.

Explored around more of southern Utah and the incredible landscapes out there this past week, this time nearer to Escalante and Bryce Canyon. Utah desert camping trips never, ever get old!

We split the drive home up into a 2-day affair, stopped in SLC for the night, and were delighted to learn about Red Rock Brewing and their hilarious “out the back door” to-go shop. I was also delighted when the hotel valet couldn’t fit my truck anywhere other than right out the front.

And since we were in Salt Lake, we had to go to the Temple. Not that one, the OTHER one:

It is that one. The other one is the other one.

I got a little shamed last week over this “rats nest” so…
