A long time ago I decided that I wasn't going to eat crap while hunting/camping/wheeling; too old, too much of a foodie. Went hunting this weekend in unseasonably warm weather but it was still good to have a hot, hearty meal when we got back to the cabin. Tortiglioni with venison and wild boar sausage, sliced onions and baby bellas, and a little half & half mixed in to thicken up the sauce and make it even richer! :)

Hunt was successful so more wild boar recipes coming up!

Way to go my friend.
Tonight I will make a pot of chili beans (local style)
with grilled rib eyes cut up and put in, along with ground beef
browned with chorizo, onions, garlic, and hot buttered flour tortillas.

Killer Quesadillas last night, and I'm paying for them today.
Think it will be leftover something tonight.

Had some leftover Navy beans and Ham hocks last night.
Today was explosive.
Damn that sh1t was good.
I've got some good smokey ham that I need to do something with. Vac sealed and frozen.
Also did a killer Tri Tip 2 nights ago, that was slammin'
Now I got to figger out how to use it in another dish.

Ah, it is that time of year again fellas,
Post up your successful creations, we have already hit chili Colorado, Navy beans and ham hocks,
and if we get some rain, it will be a potato and leek soup, or a smoked chicken tortilla soup.

Wagyu brisket ?
Was you in a competition or sumpthin
Your temps are dropping, along with a thing called rain.

I have heard that the big competitors will use Wagyu in stuff like
Memphis in May, and the like.

Boneless chicken qtrs going on the grill shortly to
go into a tortilla soup that the wife requested.
Along with some chilis and onions to be roasted.
