Worked good just ran a 7/16”x20 die down the stud. The slightly smaller die cut in some nice threads. Plus the standard castle nuts are about a 1/3 the price of the ridiculously overpriced metric nuts

This repair was like the after work, before dinner/ kids homework 10 minutes block of free time…. Haha
 
Yep, a thousand years ago when we made rear "double shocking kits", one of the extra rear shocks had to mount onto the upper tubular crossmember with a bolt going all the way the tube, but we did supply half rounded aluminum spacers that were shaped to create a flat surface for the shock to rest against..
 
Replacement bolts are available for the 40 series
Mark do you have a part # for those front shock tower mounts, or have a couple in decent shape you'd be will to part with? Mine are stripped and I really like to replace them, thanks in advance
