Some of the comments said it might be for class rules, maybe it's a really light duty torsion barDual shocks and he still has torsion bars?
Arms look factory as well right? That's also the first 100 I've seen that needed a limiting strap because the front had so much articulation!
I'd be happy with just the coilovers lol.Dang dual shocks easy $8k setup right there. To soak up all the bumps at high speeds.
You have pictures now for the engineers to look atI have been loosely batting around the idea of a torsion bar delete coilover conversion on mine. We do it often for many different vehicles, but I have yet to see it on a 100. One of our company engineers has offered his help, so who knows.
There's a guy sometimes on this board (has a thread, but cannot remember his handle) that did a coilover IFS setup. Looks amazing—
Here's a part 1 video he made, and I think there's a part 2.
I don't know how they ended the Dakar but I'm sure those things had its purposeWith the spring tender set up like it is, the coil spring is only there to add spring rate from about ride height and up. Has to be class rules, any logical person would have just put air bumps on it.
From the UCA angle it looks like that thing has less down travel than my 100 with icon extended travel shocks. That limit strap is a joke, looks like a harbor freight strap attached to a welded on home depot shackle. I'm far more interested in the intercooler piping and whats going on there
