Tapping my foot for UPS to either deliver or cancel…..need those driveshafts. Wanna ride.

Of course UPS did not show. They never make it here on the weekend when my regular driver is off therefore I continue to punch the list.

Brake switch was broken. Had to pull cluster back out to get that SOB in.

Added some stickers.

So close.

UPS showed up late last night. Weekend dude lost but he made it 💯🙌

Today is heavy rain all day so I got up and beat the storm to burn in the brakes and check for gremlins

Runs good :)

Because I love Before/After shots

Right at 300 hours labor in this truck. I’m glad the Mustard78 of @jomelo was here when they dropped this truck off so they could see a super nice 40 and say “make it like that”

Ordered on a Monday and received them on a Saturday clear from Utah. That’s so legit. My local shop would have laughed me out of the building

I can relate to that cartoon …..

I’ve got a couple of wiring gremlins if anyone has any ideas please feel free to chime in

I put in a new brake switch yesterday. The old one was broken. It’s a simple plug in to the harness.

When my brake lights come on my marker lights also come on. So I’m sending a brake signal to the 4 side lights as well as the tail (bright brake not just the tail)

Second. The flashers will make blinkers work but individually they click once and stop. In the past I just added a ground to the housing and it made them work. I went around with my ground wire direct to the battery (PowerProbe) and the housings are all showing a good ground and it does not help with an extra ground.

Any tips are appreciated.

I think u have a bad ground on the taillights, it sounds like the tail lights are getting a ground through the side marker for the brake lights.
For the second problem I would check ground for tail lights first, then check resistance in the circuits for the flashers.

I made the mistake of tossing the old lights before I took the pigtail off them and the Tiawan lights have a plug that does not match the harness so I have some plug and play action wrong it seems.

I got sidetracked driving this thing most of the day. So far so good.

I did swap the brake lines to rear being closest to the master and front to the front of the truck.

Now, even with the Wilwood proportion valve all the way loose it’s locking the rear up first. Not sure if that matters but it was more even this morning before I swapped the lines.

Started on the line lock when I swapped the lines but I’ve run out of day. Tired.

These brake line tools are so clutch.

Is that the line tool from Eastwood? Been eyeballin' that one.

Nice build! Have you considered putting your Warn winch solenoid box under the hood? I am thinking about doing something like that.... as much as I like the look of an 8274, I hate how much of an airflow block they are.

Check the bulbs in the tail lights. The cheap ones do not have the correct bulbs. I ran into this before. New correct bulbs cured the problem. Without looking it up I think they are 1156??

I never have overheating issues with 40s with winches up there

Little stuff done today.

Line Lock installed.

Also had to replace the fan switch, heat cable and Fresh cable. Total pain in the ass.

Fixed the issue with the marker lights and brakes but I’ve kicked my ass with the blinkers.

May put another flasher relay on it
