$17,000. I’m motivated to sell. I’ve got other projects in the works and the LC is just sitting. Need it to go to someone that will use it as intended.
1996 white, well maintained. Triple locked. Currently has 199,095 miles. I don’t drive it daily, but mileage may go up slightly. Completely stock. Perfect blank canvas for an awesome overland/adventure rig.
Lockers engage fine. CDL works as described.
When I acquired this LC it had a blown engine. Body had 192,xxx miles on it. Previous owner did something and the engine had an aggressive knock.
I picked up a low mileage 1FZ-FE as a donor engine. This engine was pulled for a diesel swap by a conversion company in the Flathead. They said the engine ran fine, owner just wanted a diesel.
Anyway, I fully refreshed the donor engine. I used all Toyota OEM parts and gaskets. I had the head done at Engine Machine & Supply inc. in Bozeman, MT. Cylinders were honed and new OEM rings used. New fuel filter, Injectors cleaned, head gasket, etc.
Runs great, doesn’t consume any oil.
I removed the EGR and blocked it off. Montana doesn’t inspect rigs, so it’s a non issue for me. I have the EGR stuff in a box.
I’ve put 6,943 miles on the engine since the rebuild with no issues.
Everything else is original and works fine. Power seats, both passenger and driver, move without issue. Power windows and mirrors work fine. I did install the anti-vibration mod on the passenger mirror.
I have 3rd row seats but are currently removed.
Known issues:
It’s throwing a few codes. Knock sensors and O2 sensors. Easy fixes, just haven’t done it.
Has high idle on start up. Maybe an air leak somewhere. Haven’t tracked it down. After a few minutes, the idle settles down and purrs like a kitten.
Small rust spot on rear lift gate.
Asking $17,000. Clean title in my name.
