A few update pics from the metal wizard. Upper frame mount plates, out boarded spring perches fabbed up for the rear FJ60 axles.

Spring packs taken apart and cleaned, the bushings welded themselves in the spring eyes and had to be cut and burned out.

@rockcod It's probably in here somewhere, are you using FJ60 rear springs front & rear?

Thanks for posting this, it reminds me of when I used to pour over all his work on PBB when i was in HS. Such a shame they all got deleted. :(

The metal master has been busy bending and welding. Seat mounts tacked in, tabs for the tuffy box welded in and seat belt mounts welded.

My seat choice had to be changed yet again, new seats on order, now going with PRP daily driver seats with air bladder lumbar support. Unfortunately the lead time on the seats is going to be 4 weeks.

Very nice Tony!! I cant think that the 55 with the canoe isnt The metal masters!! We will wheel again someday!!!

That 55 is badass!!!! He never gets to work on it because he is always working on everyone else’s crap!

Tube work winding down and getting close to getting back home. Cage has been fully welded, painted and mounted. The rear axle has been moved back 7.75” and the front springs flipped, the wheel base has been stretched to 100”. Hoping to pick it up next week, work permitting!
