I am considering putting in an aftermarket heater setup in a 1979 BJ40 with an F series motor. Looking for suggestions of suppliers and possible install in Northern California. And a stupid question: Heating system plumbing is different for an FJ vs BJ, correct?

Believe plumbing off the engine would be different. Firewall into the cab would be the same. Unless these parts age getting that hard to fine would install a stock. If your in a area that deal defrostand defog the cab would get a heater that has an outside air option. Others option would bring outside air in without tempering it. Frost and fog are a result of humidity even in a heated cab it condenses on cold windows.

Thanks for the info.
