Went for a drive with my daughter - she drove, and I washed.

I know who got the better end of that deal.

Stopped by some bad bearings. Will be calling Cruiser Outfitters in the AM.

Aren't the nut huger tabs supposed to be bent down to keep the nuts from spinning or am I missing something?

Yep, after driving 500ish miles and re-torquing to spec.

I went out this weekend to royal blue in Tennessee with my buddy in his 04 Wrangler (no lockers with 35s). It was great I got a chance to see how capable a triple locked 80 is. It climbed over everything pretty much effortlessly. However, the weakness of every 5,000lb vehicle on 33s is a good sticky deep mud hole. Thankfully, we had a Fj cruiser with a wench near by!

Personally, I'm not a fan of wenches...they complain too much and I'm not into nagging. Now winches, those come in handy :D

My name is Jenny, and I have a problem.

My main problem is saying no to poverty striken 80 series.

I feel this might be regional thing. I have a buddy from WY who always says it “wench” when he’s talking about a winch.

Dang amiga! Now you just rubbing it in.
Rubbing it in would be me saying I got it for $2k and it runs great…but it doesn’t. It’s got a blown head gasket and needs some rust repair done on the body. It will be a big project, but looking forward to it.

Head gasket is not that bad. The rust I absolutely despise doing and would most like farm out in the future :D Does it look like anything else serious needs sorting other than the HG and baselining? $2k doesn't seem terrible unless the body is like Swiss cheese!

There are 4 areas of rust on the body that need to be cut out with new metal welded in. The largest is about the size of a grapefruit. The frame and interior floor boards were surprisingly rust free! All rust repair will be done in house (myself and Mr AlohaJen) as well as the head gasket job. The rear brakes need work, came with new rotors and pads. Other then that, the previous owner kept the mechanicals in pretty good shape.

That headliner looks great! Looks like the headliner from an old VW Vanagon I once had the pleasure/burden of owning.
