Sent my 37lbs to Van Nuys Plating in Cali and just got it back. I sent it in a USPS medium size box for $15 which is good for up to 40 lbs flate rate.

Impressive!

How well did the packaging survive the trip?

So for prep i soaked them in acetone for a day and then put them in the tumbler over night which really cleaned them up. A few stubborn pieces I had to hit with the wire wheel or sandblaster to get them ready. With any type of painting the results are all in the prep. The few bolts I did not prep well did not come out well. For packaging I used a half a roll of clear tape on the medium flat rate USPS box. It was very secure. The pieces arrived from Van Nuys Plating either bundled in a group or individually wrapped in protective paper and the box was very well padded and packed and survived the transport in great shape.

OF course they will. Just give them a call. They have a very extensive shop and operation and do most all types of plating. Linda Leahy 818-785-5885
