Clutch is plumbed , bled and operational, we used 100% Toyota parts in this part of the conversion. It is exactly the same as an HDJ80 would be.

We are working on brake lines, fuel lines, diff breathers, a/c lines and of course wiring.

Cheers

Got our Tom Woods drivelines in so we installed them. They are definitely the fastest vendor we work with, turn around time from order was like three days. 😳

Running diff breathers, in my shop we wrap this ARB hose with shrink wrap just to give it a bit more abrasion resistance.

Carved up a stock 80 brake fitting, 45* in this case, made our own bracket and installed it. This is where your LSPV resides, it’s gone on this Cruiser now.

Perhaps it is a bit premature on this, I hesitate to post this simply because it is premature and it’s been a bit of a rough road getting this going.

Love the bracket where the LSPV used to be.

Thanks, it’s what is left of that front LHS double 45* brake fitting. Ya know the big ugly one in front of the steering box. So much better to have a simplified brake system. The ABS on 80’s is kinda neither here nor there. Ya know, that 1990’s ABS technology. To much going on, a lot of clutter and very expensive parts these days. Not to mention it works meh.

Cheers

At the end of the day I will forget all of these obstacles and costs the moment the truck is back at the farm.

Absolutely! Or sooner if you are planning a break in run around the West followed by a slow trip from Idaho back home?

Alright one more on the sound system for now. This was first fire up of the system.

Not bad for out of the box and no sub. 🥰

The system consists of a double din Pioneer head unit I think John may have installed and the Cruiser came to us with it in. JL Audio component and sub amps. Morel thin mount mid/bass and component speakers in doors. Morel tweets in dash in original locations and Morel mids in cargo original locations. All the Morels run through Morel crossovers. Sub looks like we going with the JL Audio pictured above. We ran all new high quality speaker wire for the entire system as well.

Cheers

What model was the head unit? Looking into Pioneer options with CarPlay.

I think this is going to turn out really nice.

Oh hell yes

Began configuring our intake plumbing with the intercooler. Need to get one fitting at the intake still.

Mocked up and did some fab for the fuel filter mounts. Still some work to do to the bracket but it is taking shape.

Got the Warn M12 in, it’s massive but fits the ARB bumper no dramas. We yanked the steel cable and lost maybe 75lbs! 😂

We got some MasterPull rope for the winch, it weighs about 3lbs! 😂

The control box we will relocate to under the hood, SwitchPro will control it but can still run it with hand held or remote.
