Finished up the rear bumper. Not perfect, but it was my first attempt.

Big meats! What type of wheels?
16x7 smoothies. I had asked them to backspace at 3.5"- but the most they could get was 3 7/8". They could not do the reverse center either because the wheel drum and the center of rim on the backside was the same width at 13 1/2".

Marked, drilled and tapped the rim for hub cap. You have to completely remove the back half of the hub cap. Using (3) 8/32 Allen head screws with small rubber washers on both sides. Now to prime and paint. Tapped at a slight angle to match the hub cap.

Absolutely nothing. Repairing the post-Pig Party 2020 damage is further slowed by deciding to install ratholed bobm front floor pans rather than patch some emerging rust holes. Project creep of the "while we're at it" variety that also makes it easier to install the already-planned front body mounts.

Partial cure for cabin fever was a day trip to Moab in the other old vehicle in the fleet, the one not quite up for off-road excursions, seen here in Arches National Park. It was a little too windy and chilly to pop the top.

Not directly on the 55, but I taught my 17 year old son how to use the plasma cutter and MIG last night. Cut steel apart, put back together, check penetration, rinse, repeat. He did amazing. I think I'll give him all my welding projects from now on, because I suck at welding, especially the thin gauge stuff that I had him practicing on.

The world needs more 17 year old's that have a skill other than video game master
That's my 15 year old son... yesterday he spent soldering his computer keyboard parts together that he got for his birthday. I guess that is better than his normal weekend day where he spends online yelling at his gaming friends.
