I'm having issues with the brass contacts getting hot and melting the white plastic of the turn indicator switch, causing my headlights to flicker or at times just cut off. Before I buy a new switch, does anyone know the values at the plug so avoid ruining the new switch? I'm guessing values would be 12volt or ground?? Year is 1981. Thanks

Don't know specific, but my switch (1975) would smoke when I went to high beam. I thoroughly cleaned the brass contacts and WD40'ed the mechanism . All's well now.

I’d get some relays and reduce the load on it. Headlights are easy to eliminate the load on the switches.

Solid idea. Thanks

If you mean the sealed beam light kit from Toyota, I already have it but not yet installed. Guess I didn't think about the relays that are included. Better read up then

To be clear, is there a kit to add relays to the headlights? That would be excellent.
What’s the application?
Any part numbers?

Thank you. Riverview Toyota is my dealer of choice. I’ll call them in the morning.
