There are no factory recovery points. Those are tie down points for shipping, as far as I have seenI added a little color to front end. Trying to locate a factory recovery point to mount on the drivers side but no luck so far.

Indeed. My ‘85 4Runner has one.1st gen 4runners had the same inside double door latch on the passenger door.

Yes sir.... that’s the one. It had a few small gremlins to chase down and fix but from a novice opinion I believe it’s a great rig !!!!Was this the one that was for sale on Bring a Trailer, out of Alabama? If so, GREAT find, even the pics on BAT did not do it justice.
My mistake, I was referring to the transfer case shifter.No.....the first pic is 5th gear. Here is a better view of 5th
