It’s a translucent high heat engine paint. The process takes a bit, but I have a lot of time. Needs to be baked in an oven at 250 to cure it.

Oh man, is your wife going to allow that? I know I always time my use use of the dishwasher and laundry machine for car parts for when the :princess: is not home.
And then when she comes home early...

Unfortunately because of the stroke,I only have me to answer to. My plan is to bake it in the bbq grill outside to be as non toxic as possible. I do have a stove in the shop, but not wired up yet....low priority.

It’s been awhile since I’ve gotten much garage time. Spent a couple of hours several days in a row now. Decided to build a new shock tower/ power steering box mount. The cobbled together one on Coyote just wasn’t going to cut it. Neither was the $350 one from JTO. Picked up some 5/16 and 3/8” angle and designed my own. The mini truck power steering box sits same as stock.

Meanwhile back on the engine. Got the valves adjusted, new glow plugs and injectors installed, with new fuel return lines in place.

Put the oil filter relocation plate on. New front main seal installed. Really liking the valve cover finish.

Got the new mount welded up. Test fit of shock and steering box looks like it will work. Added a fourth captured nut to the top plate since it’s longer than stock. Need to finish grinding and paint. Little by little I’m making progress.

On a little bit of a roll. Put the engine in place to start working on frame side motor mounts. Decided to put doghouse on just to check clearances. Kind of exciting to see it on....even temporarily. Getting close to the one year mark on my red neck spring re arch. Hanging axles from the frame while on the lift might return them to new.🤪

Will try that. More than likely it’s sunlight . Both ends of the shop have a lot of windows up high.

Oh Man, I thought it was just me, I see everything on the fuzzy side. :)
Including your paper maps!
(Sorry...couldn’t resist piling on.)

Got motor mounts fabricated and decided to put wheels on and compress springs some. The oil pan clearance is still being figured out, so needed to check with wheels on. Rolling chassis for the first time in nine years! A LOT of changes in that time. Everyone either squint or take your glasses of for the picture. Loving the new plasma cutter.
