Also painted my 4x4 labs bumper hot rod black (flat / satin)... It's epoxy primed and the hot rod back is 2K so I'm hoping to get good service out of it! Still trying to decide if I like the flat black trim with gloss black body - need to get the sliders painted and front bumper back on to know for sure. Also thinking about some dark grey wrap in the indentions on the doors / quarters and on the hood to give it some accents.

Sanded with 2000 grit and buffed with megs 105... Note the reflection of the car - easiest way to see the difference in the next pic

Single stage paint or two stage? Great Job!

Bought a used Speski cargo barrier from a friend and was able to install it with the Delta ceiling brackets. Been wanting to do this for a while now to keep all our gear safely in back. It is all super solid and I just had to space and cut and trim things a bit to fit up.

Im looking into maybe getting a good quality pop & rivnut tool rather then welding. Would anyone like to show me which one to get or have a favorite brand or model pop rivnut tool?

I like these Toyota pop rivets.

That is an excellent idea. I think rivenuts with button head Allen wrench fasteners would look pretty slick. Somewhat of a finished look without needing to paint.

I purchased this rivenut setter back in December for work. There are lots to choose from on Amazon and they all seem to be from the same factory in China . Mine has held up well though and I have set ~ 150 1/4-20 rivenuts so far with no issues.

Thank you! While working on things around the vehicle I had found pieces of aluminum blocking the door drains. They looked like the back of some sort of rivet but not the normal generic pop-rivet I was familiar with. Either way I did not know what they had come from. The PO had removed the fenders and I did not realize this piece was riveted. That explains it.

I have been looking at that kit, good to know it’s meeting your needs

Hey thanks! It's two stage but, if I had to do it over again, I would undoubtedly do single stage. Easier to buff, easier to blend if damaged, etc. This clear has so much peel that I've actually considered hitting it with 800 to level it and painting the rig hot rod black (satin).

Social mountaining ;)

Snowing yesterday in sierra nevada mountains, Tahoe National Forest up at 7K elevation

Parked, then hiked up to fire lookout tower...very windy

Replaced the battery over the weekend. Been running a single Group31 for the past few years. and it stopped holding a charge last week. Been very pleased with it though. For a single battery setup it did a great job considering all the stuff I'm powering.

Replaced it with a Duracell Platinum Deep Cycle AGM Group31. And I know I should have made the change long ago but I'm finally digging seriously into a dual battery setup. Looking at the National Luna kit for controlling them.

That looks great! I have been extremely pleased with my Toyo MTs. Best tire I have had on the truck in 23 years of ownership. I'd love to run 38s but have been afraid of potential rubbing. I run Toyo MT 35s on a Slee 4" lift. What lift are you running and do your 38s rub?
