How dare you refer to Olive as a non-essential ? Around here people get shot for less ! :hillbilly:

This one took the entire hot dog bun.

Rob is was great to meet you guys!
Can't tell you how much it means to me to have a customer ( whom I've never met or worked with before ) bring their cruiser to us from a considerable distance away to have us work on their vehicle.
Puts a huge smile on my face!!!!

Much appreciated!

Georg

Replaced the exhaust/intake gasket with a Remflex gasket. While I had everything off, painted the intake and exhaust manifold. Replaced all the studs except the ones that bind the exhaust pipe to the manifold, which one snaped off. Still assessing how to fix that snafu.

Drained and filled the front and rear axles. It's apparent that I am going to need to go through the rear due to some chunky bits that was attached to the drain plug.

I did the same thing when I installed the lighter.

Get the bows on

Matt,

These were pop riveted on? Mine is currently affixed with sheet metal screws and would rip my (or my wife's) skin reaching in, if not careful.
Great to know. I'll use good aluminum pop rivets.

Thanks once again!

If yours had screws then re-install with screws for sure

older 40’s did use screws

but

a lot of folks upgrade to my Aircraft Grade 💯 % aluminum pop rivets

choice is up to You

now I do have a choice !

Thanks!
I don't think these are being made. I like the look of the old knobs, but it seems they were all different. So I figured I'm going to make a matching set. I also have a ROOM knob in the making which would activate internal cab lighting. I believe the mid 60s 45lvs had the room knob.

You might say I have an issue with knobs...

These didn't make the cut...

New GR starter. Soo much better than the crusty old direct drive. Keeping the old one for spares.

Thank you for your kind words...

My FOG and ROOM 3d prints need to be redone. Trying to make these is a super finicky job. The molds are very susceptible to damage around the letters and ribs.

So I'm back at it. My keyboard area looks a lot like yours... :)

Good day!
