Sounds like a good combo for you. My first gear in low is too fast. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with stock gearing and 33" tires but H55 with 4:10s or possibly 3:1 TC, maybe both... I avoid rock crawling, but it happens. Grace helps.
I hope to catch you at SAS next year

Man I hated the green dash lights, first I pulled the condoms off the bulbs and the white was better but I really wanted red so ordered some led's from amazon and stuck them in today. They look great! The brightness is perfect and I'm surprised they're dimmable. Just waiting on one for the hvac bulb.

Changed my oil and replaced the wix oil filter that I’m told will cause my engine to explode killing everyone I know in the process. Put the new Toyota one on that looks like it came from a child’s tea set.

And tomorrow I’m going to use the 60 to tow a 6x12 uhaul trailer 200 miles round trip to go collect this which someone had done to work to strip bare and give away for very little. It’ll be about all I want to tow as the uhaul weighs in at 1700 lbs and the chassis is probably 500? Slow and steady.

and yes I know the chassis is a good 16 or so feet long. Planned to just strap it on top of the uhaul trailer with a few feet sticking over each end. Or maybe nose in tail high and wearing some flags.

Used the tailgate to day drink and do yard work while the world goes full meltdown. We have quite toyota sanctuary going on over here. Also got my mud flaps cleaned up, waiting for the hardware to come in at Toyota.

Beer on a 60 series tailgate with a built in sunshade/rain canopy....priceless. This is why barn doors suck.

Mud flaps look great. Good post.

Took the time to get the radiator out to be tested/refurbed as part of a water pump replacement plus cooling system overhaul. I’m waiting on parts to come in currently. Radiator was operating fine minus a small week at the top— I haven’t had to even top it up in 3 years though.

now I’m thinking, should I do the timing cover gasket and front crank seal while I’m in there?
It does look pretty caked.

I’ve never attempted anything like that but it seems fairly straight forward except getting the HB off. I’ve got new belts, new idler pulley assembly, and new ac pulley bearings to go in too.
