I’m going to start the restoration on my 1958 FJ25 this spring and decided to start a thread for it today. I was not sure what to name it so I decided to use it’s original color. Sundune?
Below are photos of parts I have acquired for the project. This truck is the earliest known 1958 in the U.S.. The data plate is unique and is stamped 1958, all numbers match, and it is titled as a 1958. It’s unique features also match the original 1958 FJ25 owners manual.

I’m very particular so I have been documenting photos of every part im using and also keeping the shipping label of each part with their place of origin listed. My plan is to document the entire restoration including parts origins in a book when complete

Have @ToyotaMatt restore a pair for you. If you need some to restore I have spares.
I'll need spares to restore, my early 40 came with generic pull cables. The dash had marker written above the blank knobs to tell which was choke. Don't want to turn this thread into a want ad... I'll get there when my $$$ replenishes. Love seeing the restored stuff folks have ready to put on these trucks
