Picked up a used 2004 Jayco Quest Baja 10z pop-up camper - Let the camper build begin!!!

It sleeps 6, has A/C, heat and fridge so it is wife approved. BOOM! Very low usage, interior is like new.

Got a heck of a deal on it because campers in MN before winter are like hot potato - no one wants to store them over the winter.

It still has the original tires from 2004 - Dunlop Radial Mud Rover. Tires / brakes / bearings are first on the list....

what year is your truck? do you have a supercharger? and what's the weight on the trailer? I have a very similar size that I'd like to try pulling with my 96 80 series.

1997
No Supercharger
35" tires, stock gearing (will be going back to 33" when these wear out) :)
Specs below - dry weight 1825 lbs, I think my sticker says 2009 lbs with accessories - which is still quite light. Many pop-up are 2500+lbs. I wanted a light one!

I frequently tow a heavy 18.5' walleye boat, the 80 works fine, just SLOW.

Since the two 80’s are mine and I want to be able to work on them I have been contemplating how to best utilize my space.

Cheers

You're very secretive of where you and your shop are located.

Website and the rest will get updated soon. But ya....

Boise, Idaho. ALL Cruiserheads welcome! :)

Cheers

Nice!! Mind telling me how much? You just got me looking on CL for trailers now! haha.. In Minneapolis.

Paul, did u do front speakers yet?

Starting on front doors tomorrow. Insulation will take me a couple days between jobs at work. Then Polk DB6502's going in.

Finished checking distortion levels and setting gains on the amp tonight. This deck and amp combo has some clean power. ( Alpine iLX-W650 W/Alpine KTA-450 amp ) I have zero distortion at full volume.

Oh, and how fun it is wiring color blind. I had to do it twice. 🤣 All wrapped up nice now.

Was hearing a squeal from the rear at low speed. Found the issue and fixed it. I've never seen pads so old and rusted. They were a PITA to get out.

The PS pump had been on the list since I purchased the truck. Figured I was already dirty from doing the brakes so I decided to knock it out. Took a few days to get it all done since I forgot to order new seals and also learned that it is MUCH harder to do when the truck is all together then when doing the head gasket repair. I got all new low side hoses and clamps, but kept the high pressure hose because of the cost. I hope I don't regret that.

Washed it for the first time since owning it

After always seeing all the great pics that members take when they are out west I decided I need to see it for myself. A local MUD member had this sitting in a field for a few years with a bent axle and was looking to get rid of it. Had another MUD member help me trailer it home and I now have a new project to play with.

~700lbs and already on 35" tires

Came with a beefier replacement axle. Just got it swapped in and the electric brakes hooked up.

Couldn't believe that it had no tears in the fabric and no signs of mice getting in it when I opened it up. Musty and needs new weather stripping for a better water seal when closed.

Making a list of what I will need to be able to get off road and out west with this hopefully next summer. Tossed in an air mattress and some weatherproof LED lights that can change colors. Told the wife I may spend the night in the driveway soon cause I'm like a kid on Christmas.
