Got my FJ80 recently and now that it’s summer I’m noticing when the truck is in idle the AC doesn’t blow cold. When it’s moving it blows cold so I’m wondering if this could be as easy as adding refrigerant or does this sound like a compressor issue?

Thanks in advanced.

Check for bubbles in the sight glass. If there's bubbles, it could just be low on refrigerant.

The FSM has a really detailed procedure for checking AC.

Also make sure the belt driving the AC compressor is properly tensioned. A slipping belt can cause your symptoms.
