Even in the driveway, the kids want to hang out in the LX.
Hard to blame them, 64 and sunny and a nice breeze!

Got my last bit of maintenance done before the long trip to its permanent home in San Antonio. A simple oil change turned into an hour long job thanks to the gorilla at the Toyota dealership who torqued the filter to 1000 ft lbs last oil change when I first bought it a few months ago. After stabbing with a screw driver and turning a little bit at a time, I was finally able to get it off.

BTW anyone looking to do an oil change anytime soon, Costco has boxes of 6 qts of Mobile 1 for $28

Walmart has Oil for $22.xx..U then have a Very verified and easy to do online rebate from Mobil for $12 off. Buy the mobil 1 filter with it and its $17 off. Good deal i say. Cookies Required... here's the link.. And b4 anyone asks yes Walmart will work with this rebate even if its not on the Vendor list.

AHC flush. I believe front driver side accumulator is bad. Much less dampening on that corner than all others going over speed bumps etc.

Also replaced resonator/intake. PO had duct taped the other. Guess it worked for him, not my style. Found another in classifieds part out.

Alltrac was the Celica, this has an actual t-case (and an ultra low first). Funny thing about the 4x4 system, it's front wheel drive until you put it in 4H, then the rear DS engages.

100 did great hauling it, whopping 9mpg.

I had an 88 Celica All-Trac, I should have kept that car!

Darche 180 awning came in, might do a short write up since there is little to no info for darche awnings on ih8mud. Mounts (3) are ridiculously strong for awning mounts.

This started because I had the arb 2500 and loved the awning but one of the aluminum poles bent. So I loved having the awning but wanted something a little more substantial. Pieced together my own load bars to mount to (gamiviti mounts, front runner slat extensions and end caps with the front runner fairing). Still installing on the truck, will update with mounted and open pictures

Please do a write up, I'm curious to see what you think about it.

I've been looking at 180 awning and have been leaning towards the alucab shadow awn.

First family outing and some “serious” off-roading (being stock and not scaring the wife). Stuck once and need to lock center diff to get out. Turns out I had the rear corner of the bumper and rack dragging about 4” deep in the dirt. Also forgot to put AHC to H before the attempt, so that might have helped...Goblin Valley area near Hanksville, UT. The grease to the drivetrain parts helps quell the clunks, and even with 5 kids, two adults, 200lbs of food and gear hanging off the back, crappy unbalanced tires, and returning with approx. 6 tons of cool rocks in the back, we got 300 miles with a 1/4 tank left.
