Yeah they don’t mess around. I had to deal with them a lot when I titled my frame swapped, out of state 40 many years ago.

Same in FL. When I moved to the Keys and titled another out of state Jeep I bought. They send out a County Sheriff Deputy, full uniform and weapon. Also very proficient and about their business. Kind of like you got pulled over at your house. "Yes Sir"

I brought the frame home for cleaning and painting. I think i will do lift brakes and other stuff while in there.

I have been taking the frame a part. Luckily i have not break many bolts wish it is a plus. I am wringing the locked truck next week after painting the frame and paint the locked axels. Do brake and everything i can do before doing engine and cabin in it. I need a shop bad!!!

As much as i will like to move quick on this build. It is too much to do and not enough time. “Not we all feel thag way?” I have a bare frame now and the locked axle truck at home. I will start moving the axles to the frame. I really will like to clean and paint everything but I really prefer to drive and wheel. It doesnt have to be pretty to be fun.

The left hand drive panhard it cut off and the new one will be order soon. That is really the last thing to install since it has to be installed at the alignment shop. So, i am not in a rush on that.

I didn't realize that you were also converting this frame from RHD to LHD. Very cool. Steering box holes are drilled but not sleeved, correct?

Yes. Frame number is the same. I can order the rhd pan-hard support and have to sleeve the steering holes. But, the replacement frame is lhd i am converting it to rhd. I know is backwards but i want to leave the truck as original as i can.

Both axles are umder the frame. The front axle will have to be modified for rhd. I going to start cleaning and painting some parts and do the brakes. While i modified the axle i will also do a knuckle rebuild.

The axle has the panhard support on the right that i havent found the bracket for. I thought about keeping original the axle housing from the truck and changing all the inside from the locked axle. But i have to make sure that way is not going to bring me more work. Instead of just cutting and welding the braket.

It was a long day but i did it. Frame is swapped and there is a lot to put back together but it is nice accomplishment. It took from 9 to 3. Engine transmission suspension accessories and frame. More to come.
Thanks to Dean from H and H and to lee.

I have been doing small things. Parts are at the shop of the guy that is going to do the paint job. I just want him to paint the inside of the engine bay before i put it together. The panhard support is 30 days out and i have to make the decision of straighten the one that i have or wait to put the truck back together in another month

Today was a success. I finish most the mechanical part. Truck starts and drives it also breaks. I am taking it to dean to get the exhaust replaced. I am not a painter so luis is going to paint it for me.
I have a ARB bumper for it but i really like the short bus for either this truck or the 40th. It is boring to have two truck looking the same. I probably sell it and get what i want later.
I also have to wire the lockers and fix the horn. The darn thing doesnt work as well as the engine temperature gage. So, i still ways to go but i will like to have the dmv inspect it in the next two weeks to get title and all the other crap that comes with it.

I am perfect dude!!

No. There is a lot to check before i can take it out and wheel it. I know you study the picture and see the over flow tank disconnected. 🙄
