I know, I know...I’m opening up a can of worms since this will not be a popular mod on this forum...lol

Picked up a 2019 LC a couple weeks ago for the wife, replacing her Panamera GTS. We needed something larger and more practical for the kids, trips, bikes, etc. And while I have my German cars for weekend toys (996tt and e30m3), I love Toyota/Lexus for daily due to reliability. I had an ISF for years and recently upgraded to GSF, so we looked at LX570 and Land Cruiser for the wife. She didn’t like the softer ride of the LX so we ordered the LC a couple months back along with some mods to go with it.

Car arrived 2 weeks ago, 22x10” Anrky wheels came in a few days later. I usually run HRE on my cars but this is a new brand I’m trying out that is manufactured by HRE so same overall quality.

Be gentle guys. Remember that this will never ever see off-roading other than our lawn in front of the house. Wife loves the car so far, tons of room, solid construction. Drives smaller than it really is so it actually fits her.

I think they look great. No need for hardcore off road tires if you don't go off roading.

Get Off the Grass!

J/K. Congrats on the new ride. That's taking care of the wifee and family alright. A different style than what's typical on these boards, but can't say it doesn't look good or have presence. At least it won't be mistaken for a Highlander that fades into the background. :)

Selfishly, I want to see pics of the 996TT. A number of us have cruisers and porches. I myself have a 996TT.

We appreciate guys like you actually. You put wheels on it that are impossible to take off road, you take good care of it and drive around the suburbs, you even park on grass to pamper it, then a couple years down the road you sell and crazy guys like us buy it and then immediately do stuff like this :D

I like it. What tire ?

Funny I also had a 996TT then a 997 GT3 and a 993 4s before both of them. Then we moved to Alaska and the Porsche’s didn’t. I now don’t think I’ll ever own another one.

Super funny, I also had a 996tt. Traded it in a couple of years ago for a NX300H for my wife, who's RX330 was getting old and suddenly just needed a whole bunch of repairs we didn't want to deal with.

I had the 911 for 1.5 years, and only put 2,300 miles on it. Fun cars, but maintenance and repairs is $$$$$. Felt like I had to baby that thing, fearing that anything could break.

Unknown if I'll ever get one again. I'm thinking a hybrid or electric car will be in my future.

Nice ride btw OP!

Panamera was a fun car but it just wasn’t practical as a primary family car with 2 kids. My 996tt is a 2001 with 10k miles, driven only on rare occasions. Basic mods (wheels, springs, tune, exhaust) but I love the rawness of it and don’t ever see myself selling it.

Thanks for the comments guys. I have some ideas for a few more mods on the LC and will leave it alone after that.

Great car - it has shot up in desirability and price once the masses realized the IMS wasn't an issue with the Mezger engined 996 turbo. Looks extremely clean and well kept!

Love the black wheels! I think those work so well with this pearl white! surprised the factory didn’t figure it out.

I ended up keeping the OEM wheels, gloss black powder coated.
She is also a daily driver but works as a boat tow pig as well, and on some pretty rugged ramps (we absolutely LOVE it).

Beautiful. We share the same color. I really like that GT2 wing and wheels.

I find it hard to choose which to drive to work sometimes. At which point I let my kids choose. They like both so it's about 50% they might choose one over the other.

Looks great, my LX is the same color as yours, and my 996tt was same as well, seal grey metallic?

Now I wish I kept the turbo. Definitely a blast to drive, and a great complement to the LX.

Mine is GT silver. It's "funny" to me that so many Porsche folks around me seem enamored with RRs. Go figure.

I drove the wheels off all 3 of my 911’s even put snow tires on he 4s and turbo and drove them all winter. My 996 was the darker Seal gray but with the OEM wheels and the basic auto rise rear wing. I was just talking about my turbo this AM as my wife’s new Tesla model 3 accelerates faster in every spec than my 996 turbo did... the Tesla is almost scary fast.

22” wheels aren’t my thing, but whatever floats your boat.

Yes, these things are scary fast!
