80s series liftgate badge on an LX (1 Viewer)

First of all I hate the chrome on the lift-gate on my LX. I removed the trim piece as it was bubbled and looked even worse, but I did not realize that there would be (2) holes underneath. Has anyone tried to put the lift-gate badging from an 80 series here in its place? Or does anyone else have any creative solutions?

There was another thread here recently where one member tried various different adhesive backed emblems and badges, you might be able to track that one down for some ideas.

I hate chrome! Needed a new hatch because of some rust from a leaky 3rd brake light. Bought this one from a salvage yard and had the trim holes filled before repainting. I've thought about finding a retro badge but might stay with the utilitarian look.
