After cleaning up the birfield and replacing the axle seal I am having trouble getting the axle to engage the spline on the front diff. I have the flats on the airfield at 12 and 6 o'clock. Any suggestions?

To have to make sure the shaft is going in straight. You might have to push your end down a little to get it to slide in

Just be careful on that oil seal

Did you get it installed? Its been a few years since I rebuilt mine. I wiggled and twisted a little and it went in. I was stressing since it was my first time (sounds weird after reading..haha) but everyone on here are great especially when I installed race backwards.

After trying for some time I finally engaged a friend to help, and yes, pushing down and finding the sweet spot solved the problem. Thanks. Probably one of those tasks to do with a clear mind and patience!

Turning the diff a bit then trying again sometimes helps.

This; by turning the drive shaft a few centimeters in either direction while inserting the axle.
