I think @under_psi and I will knock this guy out a couple sundays from now. I’ve got all the parts together just have to cut the 2x3 into a tongue and platform to even out the weight.

I’ll have three 5 gallon cans off the front that should make a big leap toward leveling it.

Get this back on track

Ok. On it.

So. I’m no welder and I really don’t like the looks of the ones with the rounded fronts so mine is a flat front.

I also needed some weight in front of the axle.

I now have something to keep loose objects inside the trailer and ballast to offset the spare.

Loading it up. Taking it to @under_psi for the hitch tomorrow

That’s a wrap. 4.5 hours. Not bad.

This is all the steel we had left from a 20’ stick of 2x3

Total length is 100” tip to tail.

With the water tanks full it’s almost perfectly balanced.

Moved the water down and forward and they are welded in to a crossmember

Got it painted up and mounted my Slee Jerry can holder on the front with nutserts.

It’s too big for this 20q but I bought a cheapie fake yeti 35 quart for it.

Tomorrow I’m taking it to White Rhino fab for a flat front panel with some Cruiser ribs like the floor. Should turn out and finish it up nicely

Took the Goat Tail out to pick up some wood. Really is a sweet little setup

Got the lights hooked up today. Now I can get on down the road with it

I discovered the hot rod “Patina” guys are using it to protect the exposed rust

I have been using it in conjunction with CLR to clean he paint and preserve the exposed rust.

Check out what the combo did for my 1967

Do you brush it on, or buff it into the paint?

and then clear coat it...

Oh no. That’s way too permanent plus this is oil. No paint will stick to that.

If you want to clearcoat just do Rust Converter then clear.

BLO is a coat to protect the rust but it has to be reapplied. Looks more natural than clear

Man. This thing really worked great this weekend.

I hauled all of the water and coolers for my Boy Scout troop

Super nice to have the extra space
