85 FJ60. I replaced my starter and noticed the bottom bolt which attaches the ground wire wasn't a bolt but a headless bolt with a hex nut. It seemed to work fine when I reattached it but is that the correct fastener to attach the starter? There was no Allen hex key on the end of the "bolt" to tighten beyond hand tightening. Should it be a regular bolt like the one on top? Thanks.

That's what's known as a stud. Hand tight is fine and the stud helps to locate the starter when you install it.

Appreciate the reply! Makes sense now. I think it wouldve been easier had I found that stud at the top bolt position so the starter could hang first and then place the bottom bolt.

The stud can be tightened into the bell housing (and removed) by double-nutting the stud.
