Just got a carb to rebuild for my 71 FJ40. Tag is 60203. From a 72 FJ40. Will this work on my 71?

You still using the throttle cable setup on your 71? If so the 72 should work. Should have a spot for the cable’s barrel end on the 72.

Did you find the date stamp on the airhorn yet?

Yes. The tag is often more definitive than the date stamp on the air horn, and is often used when a replacement carb with a newer casting date is stamped in order to show what year the carb was INTENDED to be stocked as a replacement for. For instance, I have a NOS 1968 carb with a tag for the 1968 carb that was made, per date stamp, sometime in the 1980s.
