Just came across this thread. Excellent workmanship. Looks beautiful.:beer:
 
Well...it was just a question of time, but the 6v batteries finally s*** to bed....along with the water pump. Got the Flojet 2.9 GPM.

I opted for two 12v deep cycles from Sears. The had a great price, so I hoped on it.

I have read in a couple marine electrical manuals etc. that best practice with paralleled 12 VDC batteries is to attach ground to one end of the string and power to the far opposite end of the string.

Thank you, as always...I can heed that advice. The pictures I checked out on Google didn't really clarify that . I can make it work, I just have to slide the batteries to left about 3". These batteries are 3" longer then the last 6v's that were in there.
