Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Flat Connectors

This fit perfectly in my 05 -- I believe there is a different model for 03-04, but I am not 100% certain on the year cutover.

what year is your GX? does it have the 2 harnesses and this new 7-round and 4 flat plug-n-play?
I'm going for that arrangement too and the one from napa only hadone singe to-carplug that wasn't compatible with my '07's 2 harni (harnesses).

i'll look up your Hopkins. looks perfect!!

*EDIT*
nevermind. it's all answered. I see yar and the part has the 2 square to-car harnesses. thanks for the post and link!

Actually last time it was from the northern Colorado version. It’s buried on pg 76 now but this trail was from the original book. So far all the trails have been great. Also there’s a Moab/Utah book by the same author I’ve seen and another forum member in Utah mentioned as well. View attachment 1769663
Wells has a moab area one too...

handily enough, amazon, or the book store in Moab ;) when you're here.

It goes to the top at 13,300, I was hoping to post that on the gettin high thread but I had to turn around at 10,600 feet. It just got too rutted and rocky and I’m bone stock with old street tires. There’s three trails within my reach still being stock. Going to Boreas Pass tomorrow and there’s another one in Alma, Kite Lake I think it’s called.
it'll blow your mind when you get real tires and remove the running boards!!!

yup 3/16" steel, my buddy who runs them hasn't had any issues with them shifting. I held them tight to the frame and torqued them down with an impact gun. Also I want to be able to remove once I get beefier lower links to match. Maybe then I'll add a few tack welds.

I recall Total Chaos had some 3/16" steel ones as well. They didn't have the full boxed-in look and I think they just welded the back flap portion (angled end).

@Rock Taco: May I ask the reasoning with the UCA install? Im on the fence as to if I need to replace the UCAs with a med OME lift or not due to alignment.

The size tire I went with is 285/75 and I wanted to have as much adjust ability as possible to move them forward in the wheel well.

Silly interior stuff but here is my Alphard steering wheel with a Lexus AB and SWC. My leather seat covers arrived...they go all the way back to the 3rd row. Looks soo much nicer than the 80's theme lookin' design on the OEM seats. (not sure if a GX option is offered but other than the arm rest on the front seat, should be the same??)

Did the 8020 rack mod with stock rails. Should be sufficient for what I need for now.

Where did you get the seat covers?? They look great! I'm sure you said already but I didn't see it

These are awesome, is there a write up on this mod somewhere?

Yeah, search for 8020 on GXOR. I got my extruded aluminum from tnutz (39.750" length) and then the hardware from 8020.

Did you have to shave the length or was the 39.75 spot on? Also how are you going to mount items to the rails? I am planning this mod as well...

They were spot on BUT pretty tight to slide on. So I ended up dropping them between the rails and then attaching the screws to 10/30. If they were a bit shorter you could slide them in from the rear like the stock cross bars.

I'm planning to buy the roll in nuts to attach stuff. See this thread here. You can get the roll in nuts on 8020.net, ebay, tnutz.com, etc. How to add accessories to rack w/o having to unbolt crossbars or drill access holes

You could potentially have them counter-bore your 10/30 so then you can slide in bolts or attachments that way but I decided not to do that.
