speedo cable washer? (1 Viewer)

I was working on the xfer output. After I had everything put back together (I thought) I found a thick fiber washer on the ground. I'm pretty sure it belongs in the speedo cable at the xfer case end, but I can't find a picture of that anywhere

Yes, at the very end where the cable screws on. No further disassembly needed.

So if you don't have the little washer in there what will happen? Wondering because I didn't have one in there and my oem cable broke at that exact spot.
