Need some diagnostic help from someone who knows carbs. I have an '83 Honda XL200R. It sat for 7 years and I got it from my Dad recently and have been tinkering with it.
I cleaned out the gas tank and cleaned out the carb. Both jets were clogged shut. Here's what it's doing now:
- won't start unless it's got full choke
- won't idle with or without choke
- riding, if you open the throttle up, starts to stutter. I can push the choke in and it clears the stutter, but I have to stay on the throttle, let off and it dies
No idea what I need to adjust/clean/replace. Any help appreciated.
