Hey guys need some wisdom,

I'm looking to go to the newer H152 gearbox into my '93 1HD-t 80 series. It's currently factory manual with the H151F.

Does anyone know if the part time transfer and or the 151 bellhousing will bolt up?

Keen for any info..

Cheers

Maybe try in the diesel forum. Are you after the ratios that come with this box?

Thanks, there doesn't seem to be much info on it.

Yes I'm after the ratios. Particularly the 5th gear overdrive ratio..

Try searching on lcool.org/forum particularly the 70scool section.

Feedback suggests 5th gear is too tall.

For 80 series, you'd need to change the inky shaft and bell housing to suit the inline six 1HD-T. H152F well have a longer input shaft and bell housing to suit the shorter v8 engine.

Larger tyres, or transfer case high range overdrive gears might give you the gearing you want for less money
Do you know of any 80 series overdrive transfer case gears that don’t overdrive the low range also?
Would be good if someone made reduction low and overdrive high, haven’t found one yet though...

Can’t wait as I am contemplating swapping an FT into my HZJ80.
