Can a ring & pinion from a '94 series 80 LC work on a '96 series 80 LC? Any
Modification needed ?

Are you swapping the ring and pinion into your existing third member? Then yes, it will work, but you will need to do a proper install and gear setup, and if you are in there change the bearings.

If you are swapping the entire third member over, make sure you are swapping open for open or elocked for elocked. You can swap an elocked third into an open housing, but requires a fair amount of work to the housing to make it fit.
