I’ve been lurking in here for months, doing research and drooling over different builds. I was first set on an 80 series and eventually realized a 100 would be better suited to my lifestyle. It’s my daily driver/computer/work truck as well as our future family adventure rig. It’s a 2000 with 190,000 miles. Timing belt was done at 183k so
I’ll post more pictures of the work I’ve done to it so far. But my question is about the last picture; after removing the running boards, I noticed this part hanging down from the frame. Only installed on the passenger side. It is mounted on rubber bushings. What is it? Is it worth anything to anyone? I’m going to remove it for more clearance.

Ahhhh the mysterious part. Don't ask questions about it...move along...

But seriously, from what I gather from my research it's some anti-vibration piece. However, most people remove it (I have) and notice no difference.

Thanks for the help guys. I wasn’t sure what to search for. But I should have read all the FAQ first I guess.
Thanks again.

Congratulations! Nice, clean cruiser.

Change out the heater T's NOW...if they haven't been done.
