Hi guys, I have a 1970 fj45 with a really straight fairly rust free cab, but the frame is twisted and cracked and has had many poor welding jobs done on it- basically its toast. BUT I can get hold of a rolling 60 shell for a hundred bucks.
So I began to wonder if the frame was basically the same i could swap the body over and have the wider 60 series diffs without having to reweld spring perches ect.
Has anyone done this before/is it possible?

Thanks

Yes it has been done. No the frame isn’t anything like a 45 frame.

It can be done, if i were going to go to that much work I'd be going a step farther and use an 80 roller.
