Painting galvanized CCOT tub (1 Viewer)

Im new to bodywork (that needs to look decent) so bear with me.

I’ve got a galvanized CCOT tub to use in my ‘79 “restoration”. What’s the proper procedure for cleaning/priming/painting galvanized metal. CCOT was not very forthcoming with details.

Have you received the tub yet? I have yet to hear of anyone using one of the full CCOT tubs, curious how it looks and fit. I really like the idea of a galvanized tub, but it does not seem to popular choice for some reason. Looking forward to find out more information as well.

Yeah we’ve got it. I guess it’s the three-quarter tub not a full tub. Looks great. I haven’t taken any measurements yet or put it on the chassis; it’s still in its box but it seems fairly complete and well done.

I’ll post pics when we actually start making progress. Right now I’m just worried about how to paint thing so the paint sticks.
