Well, I think I found out why my blower motor isn’t working. It was packed full of dead leaves and dirt, with more in the ducts leading to and from it. (FJ60 keys for scale.) I vacuumed out as much as I could but there’s a lot more I couldn’t reach.

Two questions: 1) Should the motor spin freely? Because it won’t. 2) How do I open up the duct system to clean out the rest of this mess? None of my manuals address this.

sure my blower spin free .. clean as much as you could from it ( I actually wash as mush as I could other than the motor itself ) as well as ducts ..

Remove wiper motor and clean chicken wire 'filter' upstream of blower motor. While yer at it clean out 4000 maple leafs from cowl area.
